Introduction

This policy explains what happens to information when you read this site. The short version: we run an editorial site about mattresses, we do not sell anything directly, and we keep as little about you as the site can function on.

Information We Collect

Reading these pages requires nothing from you. Your browser sends standard technical data that any web server records, including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the time of the request. That data is used to keep the site running and to understand which pages people actually read.

If you type an email address into the newsletter field or fill in the contact form, you supply that information yourself. Those forms are not connected to a mail backend at present and return an error rather than storing anything, so the fastest route to us is the email address on the contact page.

Cookies and Analytics

A small cookie or local storage entry records whether you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page. Analytics software may set its own cookies to count visits and measure which pages hold attention. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them.

Retailers and advertising networks may set their own cookies once you follow a link away from this site. Those are governed by the destination's policy, not this one.

Affiliate Links and Third Parties

Links from this site to retailer listings carry an affiliate tag. Following one tells the retailer that the visit came from here, which is how any commission is attributed. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or order contents from the retailer.

This site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Amazon handles its own data collection under its own privacy notice once you land there.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to the server is limited to the people who maintain it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we hold as little data as possible rather than promising a perfect defence of data we do not need.

Children's Privacy

This site is written for adults buying mattresses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You can browse without submitting anything, clear cookies at any time, and use browser or extension level tracking protection. If you have written to us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

If the site starts collecting something new, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised text.
